Jerilderie Working Dog Auctions 21st birthday went off with a bang in front of a large crowd both on site and on-line, with spirited and competitive bidding between the crowd and auctions plus on most lots.
The auction was conducted by Elders Rural Services, with auctioneer Nick Gray and his team of highly skilled spotters kept on their toes for almost 3 hours by the highly spirited crowd. The sale achieved a 98% clearance rate for the 54 dogs presented for Auction.
The overall sale average was up on the previous year by over $2000 testament to favourable livestock prices and the high standard of the dogs catalouged.
Average of sold trained dogs was $11662; Well Started dogs $8937, Started dogs $5750 and 3 pups sold for an average of $4000.
This years sale topper was Lot 17, Josh Everingham with Sapphire Tiger.Tiger showed incredible poise and skill in front of enthusiastic onlookers and auctions plus bidders alike to achieve a price of $26000 to a QLD grazier.
Jerilderie Working Dog Auction is proudly a 100% volunteer organisation, with all proceeds raised going to the Apex Club of Jerilderie. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing volunteers who work tirelessly to make our auction a success, with special thanks to Elders Rural Services for conducting the sale on our behalf and Coprice for supplying our vendors with Working Dog Food for 21 years running.
We are already excited and preparing for next years auction which is scheduled for 27th February 2027.
